What this website collects, what happens to it, and how to get it back or removed. Short, because there is not much of it.
In short
- Only an email address, and only if you hand it over.
- Used for the newsletter and nothing else.
- Never sold, never shared for anyone else’s marketing.
- No analytics, no tracking, no cookies.
- Ask and it is gone.
Who we are
This website is operated by Wraithe Pty Ltd (ABN 94 663 660 366), trading as RTO HQ.
What we collect
Only what you hand over, and only when you choose to:
- Your email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter.
- The enquiry form: your name, your email address and your message, plus optionally your phone number and your RTO’s name and code.
- Whatever you put in an email to us, if you write to us directly.
We don’t ask for anything else, and there is no account to create.
What we do with it
Your email address is used to send you the newsletter. Enquiries are used to answer your enquiry. That’s the whole list. We don’t sell your information, we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing, and sending an enquiry does not put you on the newsletter ... those are separate, and you have to ask for the second one.
Unsubscribing
Every issue has an unsubscribe link. Use it and you’re removed. If you’d rather just ask, email us and we’ll do it.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays on the newsletter list until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. Enquiries are kept as correspondence so there is a record of what was asked and answered, including the copy saved on our hosting when you submitted the form. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will delete both copies.
Where it’s held, and who else touches it
Enquiries. When you send the enquiry form, your submission is saved on our web hosting in Australia, and a notification is emailed to us through Postmark, an email delivery service based in the United States. Your enquiry therefore passes through, and is retained for a period by, a provider outside Australia. We then read and answer it in our Microsoft business email.
The newsletter. The list is run by EmailOctopus. Your email address is stored on their systems as well as being used to send you the newsletter.
If you would rather nothing left Australia, email us directly at hello@rtohq.com.au instead of using the form.
Analytics and cookies
This site doesn’t use analytics or tracking cookies. It sets no cookies at all and loads nothing from third parties.
Getting a copy, or a correction
Email us and ask. If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it corrected or deleted, we’ll do it.
Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your information, email us first. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
